LaCie 6Big is the largest capacity drives now within LaCie portfolio after the 12Big were marked EOL. Today LaCie made another important announcement about the new series on LaCie 6 Big.
STFKXX000402 Series with 3 Years Warranty
All the Old STFKXX000400 models are being transitioned to STFKXX000402.
STFK24000400 will be replaced by STFK24000402
STFK48000400 will be replaced by STFK48000402
STFK60000400 will be replaced by STFK60000402
STFK84000400 will be replaced by STFK84000402
STFK96000400 will be replaced by STFK108000402
Difference between old and new Series ( STFK48000400 vs STFK48000402)
The only difference seems to be that the warranty will change from 5 years to 3 years, which seems to suggest that the new series will use an Ironwolf drive instead of an ironwolf Pro. The new models will start to ship and be avaialble from end of March 2021 in our inventory.
