Synology DSM brings together Synology Drive, Photos, Hyper Backup, Snapshot Replication, Active Backup Suite, collaboration tools, and Surveillance Station in one easy-to-manage platform. Two Surveillance Station device licenses are included.
Supports Btrfs and ext4 internal file systems, hot-swappable SATA drives, SSD read/write cache, and Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR), Basic, JBOD, RAID 0, and RAID 1. Additional RAID modes are available when enough drives are connected through the expansion unit.

Yes. One optional DX525 expands the system from 2 to 7 drive bays.
