The D4 SSD is specifically designed for media creation and video production applications. It is fully compatible with the USB 4 protocol, delivering high-speed bandwidth of up to 40Gbps. It also serves as an ideal external storage expansion solution for Mac mini and can be used as a Mac OS boot drive. For gamers, large PC games can be installed directly on the D4 SSD, delivering a seamless experience indistinguishable from running on a local drive, with truly zero-latency performance.

USB 4 Protocol

The D4 SSD adopts the USB 4 protocol, achieving a data transfer bandwidth of up to 40Gbps. When equipped with four M.2 SSDs, the actual read/write speeds can reach 3257MB/s (Samsung 990PRO 4TB *4). Even with a single SSD installed, it still delivers read speeds of 1608MB/s (Samsung 990 PRO 4TB ×1). Whether using multiple drives or just one, the D4 SSD offers exceptional performance, significantly reducing the time required for nearly all tasks in post-production workflows.

Test conditions: Four Samsung 990 PRO 4TB M.2 SSDs were installed in the D4 SSD and connected to a Mac mini equipped with the Apple M4 chip, running system version 15.3.2. The drives were configured in a RAID 0 array. Performance was evaluated using AJA System Test software, with measured read speeds of 3257MB/s and write speeds of 3192MB/s.

Fully Compatible with Various Protocols

The D4 SSD is fully compatible with Thunderbolt 3/4/5 interfaces, delivering lightning-fast data transfer for seamless interactions.
It also supports all USB4/3.2/3.1/3.0 protocols, offering exceptional cross-platform compatibility. This broad compatibility allows the D4 SSD to seamlessly integrate into a variety of use cases, meeting the diverse needs of different users.

Note: Some Windows PCs with Thunderbolt 3 interfaces may have incomplete support for the USB4 protocol, which could cause the D4 SSD to fail to be recognized when connected to such ports. To resolve this issue, it is recommended to connect the D4 SSD to other USB port on the computer.

32TB Massive Storage Capacity

The D4 SSD boasts powerful storage expansion capabilities, supporting up to four M.2 SSDs. With a maximum capacity of 8TB per drive (larger capacities pending verification), it can provide up to 32TB of massive storage space to meet various large-scale data storage needs. It is worth noting that the D4 SSD itself does not offer RAID functionality and only supports single-drive mode. If users wish to set up a RAID configuration to enhance data storage performance and security, they can do so using third-party software RAID management tools.

Compact, Quiet, and Home-Friendly

The D4 SSD utilizes M.2 NVMe SSD as its storage medium, featuring a compact size and lightweight design for easy portability. Its innovative active cooling design with top-bottom airflow and a quiet fan ensures low temperatures and minimal noise even under full load. In standby mode, noise levels stay below 19dB(A), creating a comfortable and quiet environment for your home.

Wide Voltage Input (12V-20V)

This product supports a wide voltage input range of 12V to 20V, making it compatible with standard power specifications of most mainstream electronic devices on the market. These include laptops, external monitors, compact desktops/mini PCs, and audio-visual equipment, which typically use a standard 19V power supply (with current ≥1.5A). This feature allows users to travel without the need for an additional dedicated adapter, effectively reducing the burden of carrying extra gear.

Multiple Safety Protections

Power Protection: Advanced power protection design prevents damage to the device and drives from excessive current or unstable voltage by activating built-in safeguards when an incompatible power source is detected.

Power Recovery Function: Equipped with power-on state memory, the device remains off after power restoration if it was shut down normally. In the event of an unexpected power outage, it will automatically power on when electricity is restored. This makes it ideal for use with servers, NAS devices, and other systems requiring unattended automated operation.

Smart Cooling with Quiet Operation

Equipped with a second-generation intelligent temperature-controlled fan system, the D4 SSD delivers efficient cooling while maintaining ultra-quiet operation, helping extend the lifespan of both the device and hard drives.
