Western Digital Announced the Release of Long anticipated 5 and 6 TB hard drives. Now the NAS users have the option of gettting upto 6 TB from a single hard drive , pushing the capacity up by 50% on their NAS. Generally the number of Bays on Network Attached Storage are limited, so it makes sense for NAS users to buy the highest capacity , which is going to make the 6TB a fast seller.  Now the WD red hard drives are upgraded to NASWARE 3.0 and recommended for NAS upto 8 Bays.

Apart from 50EFRX and 60EFRX , WD also announced the launch of Red Pro that are recommended for 8-16 bay NAS.
