Synology DS1823XS+, DS723+ specifications

In 2023, Synology is launching DS723+, DS1823XS+, SA6400, SA3410, SA3610 , RS2423RP+ and DS923+. Here are the early  specifications on DS1823XS+ and DS723+

Synology DS1621XS+ vs Synology DS1823xs+

  • DS8123xs+ will have AMD Ryzen V1780B  instead of Intel Broadwell-DE D-1527 used in  DS1621xs+
  • There is an out of band (OOB) manangement port also in DS1823xs+
  • 2 x M.2 NVMe slots can be utilized for M.2 SSD volume creation also apart from Cache.
  • Being the XS+ model, HCL policy will be enforced. So only Synology HDD/SSD can be used for production

Synology DS720+ vs Synology DS723+

  • DS723+ will have AMD Ryzen R1600 instead of Intel Celeron J4125
  • DS723+ will Use ECC RAM (DS720+ had Non-ECC) which will be upgrdable to 32GB ( DS720+ could be upgraded to 6GB only)
  • 2 x 1GbE network ports with support for E10G22-T1-Mini network upgrade module for 10G connectivity
  • M.2 volume creation supported on Synology M.2 SSD. So M.2 can be used for Cache or volume creation.
