Synology has lauched 418J as the successor to the 4 bay Home NAS 416J. 

Main difference between Diskstation DS 418J  compared to 416J are 

  • Internal Volume Max Size is 108TB ( up from 16TB)
  • DS418J has 1GB DDR-4 RAM ( Up from 512GB DDR-3 )
  • Processor is not Marvell. They have used  a faster Realtek RTD1293
