Western Digital has introduced the Enterprise SE series of hard drives to its product porfolio, that which specifically target scale-out deployments.
This is the second product line to fit between Desktop drives and Enterprise RE drives. SE drive series fits ahead of RED NAS drives that are targeted towards Small NAS markets and behind the RE enterprise drives
SE enterprise drives boast a dual processor, dual actuators, monitoring technology to correct linear and rotational vibration and a multi-axis shock sensor.
Available in 2, 3 and 4TB the Enterprise SE drive should be a big hit for Medium size NAS and scale out deployments.
